Our Vision: B.C.’s provincial parks are welcoming and meaningfully accessible to all

Parks are for everyone. BC Parks acknowledges that some visitors experience visible and invisible barriers to accessing and enjoying parks. We’re committed to creating meaningful access by removing as many barriers to full participation as possible through the entire park experience. 

Accessibility in BC Parks

Inclusion steering committee

Since 2015, we’ve been working with an external Inclusion Steering Committee to guide our work towards making provincial parks welcoming and enjoyable for all park users. As part of the Commitment to Inclusion we seek to better understand what parks users need to feel psychologically and physically safe and comfortable when visiting provincial parks.
