Donate to BC Parks

Donating to BC Parks is a great way to support our work. There are plenty of ways to donate, either directly or through our official charitable partner, the BC Parks Foundation. This page explains the options, so you can pick the best one for you.

Commemorative Gifting

The BC Parks commemorative gifting program is on hold while we assess its effectiveness. We are currently unable to receive donations of commemorative park benches or other facilities. If you want to be notified when this changes, please contact bcparksdonations@gov.bc.ca.

Park Enhancement Fund

The Park Enhancement Fund (PEF) was established in 2008 by the Special Accounts Appropriation and Controls Act. The PEF allows BC Parks to accept revenue from donations, camping reservation charges, and partnerships, among other sources.

The Fund supports various projects that enhance the park system, including:

  • The BC Parks Licence Plate Program, which supports hundreds of projects, including conservation and visitor experience initiatives and the Student Ranger program.
  • Volunteer-led conservation and recreation projects. Keep an eye on our social media channels each spring for opportunities to get your project funded.

Donate to the PEF

Donations of $25 or more are tax deductible, and official tax receipts are automatically emailed when you donate online. If you would like to give a gift to a specific project or donate by cheque, please contact bcparksdonations@gov.bc.ca.

Leave a Legacy

We are often asked how to bequeath all or part of an estate to support BC Parks. This is most easily done through our official charitable partner, the BC Parks Foundation. The Foundation can accept gifts through estates and wills, and these donations are tax deductible.
