French Bar Creek Park was established as a result of the Lillooet Land and Resource Management Plan. It protects under-represented dry forests and grasslands, a small frontage on the Fraser River and is a migration route for bighorn sheep.

Wilderness camping is available. No maintained trails or facilities are provided. When practical, use established, impacted campsites; otherwise practice Leave No Trace camping ethics.
The park is located approximately 60 kilometres north of Lillooet.
