Conservancy overview
Emily Lake Conservancy was established as part of government’s land use decision in the central coast planning area. This conservancy protects a hanging valley lake that drains into Emily Bay. This conservancy is significant for sockeye conservation, as the Heiltsuk First Nation operates a sockeye salmon hatchery at the outlet of Emily Lake.

This conservancy is located on the east side of Coldwell Peninsula, approximately 45 kilometres southeast of Klemtu and 35 kilometres northeast of Bella Bella.
