Management Planning for the Southern Part of the
Hakai Lúxvbálís Conservancy

The southern part of the conservancy is 32750 hectares in size and encompasses the northern part of Calvert Island and surrounding marine areas.

The Wuikinuxv Nation, Heiltsuk Nation, and BC Parks will develop a management plan for the southern part of Hakai Lúxvbálís Conservancy collaboratively, as this part of the conservancy falls within the traditional territories of both First Nations.

The Heiltsuk Nation and BC Parks may develop a separate management plan for the northern part of the conservancy as it only falls within the Heiltsuk traditional territory.
