- Wildlife: Anarchist Protected Area plays a very important conservation role in the Okanagan Valley. It is home to four blue-listed and two red-listed bat species. The Ponderosa pine and Douglas fir forest provides habitat for the red-listed White-headed woodpecker and Williamson’s sapsucker, among five other blue-listed birds. Four red/blue-listed snake species are also found in the protected area including the Night snake and Western rattlesnake.

Activities Available at this Protected Area

Hunting
Anarchist Protected Area is open to hunting during lawful game hunting season as listed in the BC Hunting and Trapping Regulations synopsis synopsis. The use of horses and motor vehicles is prohibited. The only access is through the reserve owned by the Osoyoos Indian Band.

Wildlife Viewing
The presence of rare bird, bat and snake species is a feature of the protected area.
