BC Parks Response to COVID-19: See Details »
The 2020 season booking window for most campgrounds has now closed for 2020. Many campgrounds will remain open on a first come first serve basis through September and October. Campgrounds will reopen for the beginning of the new season in Spring 2021. For more information regarding the specific operating dates for your preferred park please visit the individual park webpages.
Due to ongoing operational changes as part of our COVID-19 response, some policies with respect to camping opportunities and reservations may need to be modified ahead of the new camping season. Please check BC Park’s COVID-19 page for the most up-to-date information.
Special Advisory - Posted September 23, 2020: Due to uncertainty regarding the ongoing pandemic, reservations for the Berg Lake Trail and Bowron Lake Canoe Circuit will now open January 2021 instead of October 1, 2020.
Due to current commercial supply challenges, BC Parks is unable to guarantee hand sanitizer availability in toilet facilities. We hope to have this issue resolved very soon.

Golden Ears now 100% reservable during peak season
To improve visitor experience, camping in Golden Ears Provincial Park will be 100% reservable during peak season, from May to September.
The popularity of camping in BC Parks has grown significantly over the years. This has created a demand for more reservation opportunities, so everyone has fair and equal access to campsites regardless of where they live.
Two popular parks added to Discover Camping reservation service
Camping enthusiasts can soon reserve sites at two popular provincial parks — Joffre Lakes and Tweedsmuir South.
Beginning April 2, 2019, at 7 a.m. Pacific time, the 26 backcountry tent pads at Joffre Lakes will be reservable through Discover Camping, along with 24 vehicle-accessible campsites at Tweedsmuir South.
